4. In-kind Gift. Give us your old (good) stuff- and get a tax deductable receipt for your gift. Costumes, prom dresses, tuxedos, vintage clothes, costume jewelry, just about anything. Learn how to benefit CCT. Donating your car is as easy as 1-2-3!

Step One Submit Vehicle Donation Form:
Donor submits a vehicle donation form from the website or contact Cars 4 Causes® at 1-800-766-CARE (2273). Donor provides general information on the vehicle they wish to donate and selects the charity organization they wish to benefit. We accept most intact vehicles, whether they are running or not. No smog certificate is required.

Step Two: Schedule a no-cost to the donor pick-up:
Once you donate your car and it is accepted, one of our tow companies will pick up the vehicle at no cost to the donor, or a donor may drop off the vehicle at one of our car donation center lot locations.

Step Three: Cars 4 Causes® Sells your donated vehicle:
The vehicle will be sold at one of our car donation center lot locations once we have a clear transferable title. A written acknowledgement will then be sent to the donor for their contribution.

Paul and Sheryl had a dream. It was 1980 and a small team of community volunteers created a musical theater performance- one that has evolved into the largest children’s theater arts program in the nation! Those hard-working volunteers gave their time and talent to create a reality. It’s amazing to see how more than 10,000 youth and their families are benefitting. And Paul keeps on dreaming!!

We’re pleased to share some exciting news about a new fundraising program for CYT. It’s called SCRIP and it’s the fundraising program that works while you shop.

What Is SCRIP?
SCRIP means “substitute money” – in other words, SCRIP is gift certificates from national and local retailers. They’re the same gift certificates that you buy at the store. Many popular retailers participate in our SCRIP program including: Best Buy, The Gap, Arco, Starbucks, Home Depot, El Torito, Borders/Waldenbooks and many, many more.

How Does SCRIP Work?
You’re probably asking yourself how these stores help CYT raise money. It’s simple – SCRIP participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to our organization at a discount. Member families like yours buy the certificates for full face value, redeem them for full face value, and CYT keeps the difference as revenue. SCRIP is exciting, because everybody wins:

The retailer gets cash up front and repeat business.
You get a powerful fundraising alternative that involves no selling.
CYT gets a regular source of revenue.

The beauty of SCRIP is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for CYT without spending an additional penny. Just spend your regular shopping dollars with SCRIP at the stores that participate in the SCRIP program! SCRIP can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and even dining out.

Where Can SCRIP Purchases be made?
For a list of participating retailers, download the order form. A list is also available from your CYT Area Coordinator, or the CCT office in El Cajon.

Where Do I Drop Off My Completed Order Form?
Please drop off your completed order form and check for “Total Due” to the CYT Table at your CYT location. Orders will be available for pick-up at the same table the following week.
